Leadership is critical in running a business. It takes “guts” to take the risk of running your own company and that is the start of strong leadership. However, you can learn to become a better leader over time and should continually look for ways to improve your leadership skills. Search out mentors, form an advisory board of outside leaders and colleagues you respect, and always be “looking to the future”. The best leaders have their fingers on the pulse of current trends but can also anticipate what is just over the horizon by staying at least 3 moves ahead of the competition.
