Been There - Stop That - More Cliches To Avoid
We have all “been there, done that” - and we’re tired of hearing it. Make an impression by not using those old and trite turns of phrases like “thinking outside the box,” “to die for,” or simply “awesome.”

Here’s a few terms I hear at work that I dispise:
“going forward” or “moving forward”
“driving” excellence
“drill down”
“roll out”
Here is my list of cliches that make me cringe:
“At the end of the day”
“This isn’t my first rodeo”
“Honestly”
“24/7″
“Ginormous”
“You need to focus”
In my experience, this one is used by lots of info tech folks:
“Let’s focus on the low-hanging fruit.”
Ugh. I would be happy to never hear that one again.
