Congratulations to Metropolitan Water District for its hugely successful “Connect to MET” conference last Thursday 7/23 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Music Center, downtown Los Angeles. I was pleased to moderate a panel of high-powered executive women talking about “Reflections on Leadership.” Panel including Renee Fraser, of course, owner of Fraser Communications and my co-host on “2MinutesWith”; Gillian Zucker, President of California Speedway; Fran Inman, Chair of the board of Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and SVP of Majestic Realty; Cynthia Ruiz, Chair of the Board of Public Works, City of Los Angeles; and Maria Contreras-Sweet, Chair of the board, Promerica Bank. Their strategic pathways to leadership, insights and personal stories were words of encouragement to the 300 women who attended, including the California leaders of all nine chapters of the National Assn of Women Business-Owners, where I serve as volunteer statewide California president.
